The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of foreign direct investment on economic
growth and to ascertain whether corruption matters in the Sub Saharan region. This study in its
analysis employed the hausmann test and the random effects test for correlation among
explanatory variables. The random effects test concluded that the model has variables that were
uncorrelated. From the results, there is evidence that foreign direct investment is key to
stimulating economic growth - Date
