- An Analysis on the Impact of Commercial Banks on Agricultural Development in Zimbabwe. A Case Study Of Agricultural Finance Company (AFC) Holdings For The Period (2018-2021).
- Abstract
- Commercial banks in Zimbabwe have increasingly given loans to agriculture during the last decade. However, increased commercial bank agricultural credit disbursements have not resulted in increased agricultural growth. The study's goal was to look at the influence of commercial banks on agricultural growth in this context. The influence of commercial banks on agricultural growth was investigated using a correlation analysis technique. Credit has a strong favorable influence on agricultural productivity, according to the study. When compared to credit for processing and marketing, credit for production has a far greater influence on agricultural output. The study shows that agricultural credit from commercial banks has a substantial impact on Zimbabwe's agricultural industry.
