In Zimbabwe, drug use among the youth population is particularly concerning, necessitating attention from policymakers and the public. And Mabvuku/Tafara is one of the areas with a high rate of drug abuse. This study investigates the role of rehabilitation institutions in reintegrating drug abuse patients into society, with a particular emphasis on the Mabvuku/Tafara neighborhood. The study's goal is to look into how rehabilitation facilities can help with proper reintegration and provide vital insights into addiction recovery. The study opens with an introduction that discusses the history of drug misuse and its global consequences. It emphasizes the prevalence of drug use across races, religions, and countries, underlining the importance of effective interventions. In Zimbabwe, drug use among the youth population is particularly concerning, requiring the attention of policymakers and the general public. The study's aim is to investigate the role of rehabilitation centers in facilitating successful reintegration. The research focus includes the techniques and treatments used by these facilities, such as treatment methods, counseling services, aftercare support, and community engagement programs. Furthermore, the study evaluates the results and success rates of drug abuse patients who have undergone rehabilitation, taking into account variables such as relapse rates, work status, socialties, and overall well-being. The research is going to be guided by the following objectives, to identify the most common causes of drug and substance abuse, to evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs in meeting the physical, mental and social needs of the drug addicts and to analyze the most common challenges faced by rehabilitation centers. The study will use questionnaire, in-depth interviews and direct observation as methods of data collection. The findings of the research provide insights into the causes of drug abuse, effectiveness of programs offered invi rehabilitation centers and challenges faced by these centers. The data is going to be analyzed using quantitative and qualitative data analyses. The discussion section is going to link the findings of this research with other previous researches by other scholars. Overall, this study adds to current information about addiction treatment and community reintegration. By emphasizing the role of rehabilitation institutions, it hopes to bridge the knowledge gap and build a supportive environment that promotes successful reintegration for people recovering from drug dependence
