This study looks into the causes of Zimpapers' rising income costs, a significant media company
in Zimbabwe. The revenue costs of Zimpapers have increased dramatically in the last few years,
placing pressure on the sustainability and profitability of the business. This study attempts to
pinpoint the main causes of the rising revenue costs by carefully examining accounting records,
operational information, and stakeholder interviews. The analysis looks at distribution, printing,
and paper costs as well as the effects of supply chain interruptions, inflation, and currency
fluctuations. It also looks at the steps the company has taken to handle these cost challenges, such
as renegotiating supplier contracts, investing in technology, and streamlining processes. The
investigation's conclusions offer crucial information on the difficulties in sustaining financial
sustainability in the face of growing operating expenses to Zimpapers' management, shareholders,
and the country's media sector. To evaluate the data, regression analysis was employed. The study
makes suggestions for cost-cutting strategies, revenue diversification, and enhancements to
operational effectiveness that can aid Zimpapers in navigating the present economic environment
and maintaining its market position. Other media firms facing comparable cost challenges might
also benefit from the insights learnt from this case study when making decisions and developing
best practices. - Date
