The research focused on analysis of critical success factors affecting small to medium enterprises. The study intended to identify the important success factors
that would increase Novatek's performance when it saw a fall in growth. It went on to describe strategies that can be applied on critical success factors to boost its
overall performance as well as growth. In the study, the mixed research method, descriptive research design, and a case study of Novatek Animal Feeds (Pvt) Ltd
were employed. Data was gathered through interviews and questionnaires. The data presentation and analysis were carried out in accordance with the study's
research purpose. In the analysis and presentation of data few pie charts and tables were used. The key findings revealed that a lack of resources, business strategy,
stakeholders, innovation, and greater competition are all critical elements that contribute to a reduction in performance. Furthermore, critical factors influence profitability. Novatek was urged to reduce its costs, develop employee
commitment, manage information, adopt dynamic strategic skills, and improve quality in order to compete.
