- Abstract
- The study investigates the effects of e-procurement on procurement efficiency of soft drink manufacturers in Zimbabwe. The research aimed to achieve the following objectives: to explore the level of e-procurement adoption at soft drink manufacturing firms in Zimbabwe and to identify factors influencing the adoption of e-procurement on soft drink manufacturing firms in Zimbabwe. The study applied a descriptive research design and SPSS to analyses the data and found out that e-procurement increases procurement efficiency of soft drink manufacturers in Zimbabwe. The researcher also established that accountability and cost reduction were among some of the factors that influence the adoption of e-procurement. The study revealed that even though most firms have adopted the use of e-procurement systems, some procurement activities are being still done manually. The study recommends manufacturing firms to implement e-procurement to enhance efficiency within their procurement systems.
