- Abstract
- This was a qualitative study focusing on devolution in Bindura urban, individuals' perceptions and experiences were explored. The research utilized a case study approach with a purposive sample of 10 participants comprising local government officials, councilors and residents as participants. Findings indicated mixed views on devolution effectiveness, with some noting improvements in service delivery, economic development, and local participation, while others highlighted challenges like limited funding and coordination issues. Recommendations included increased funding for local projects, capacity building for officials, and improved communication between the central government and local authorities. Further research on the impact of devolution on service delivery and economic development in Bindura urban was suggested.
