Background: Sprinting success hinges on a coach's ability to tailor training programs to individual athlete needs. Traditional coaching methods often lack personalization, potentially hindering performance gains. This research project investigates the development and implementation of an adapted coaching methodology for sprinters.
Methods: The project will involve two phases: A review of existing coaching literature and interviews with experienced coaches will identify key aspects of successful training programs. Additionally, physiological and psychological assessments of a group of sprinters will be conducted to understand individual variations. Based on the findings from phase one, an adapted coaching methodology will be developed. This methodology will emphasize personalized training plans that address each sprinter's unique strengths, weaknesses, and psychological needs. The effectiveness of the adapted approach will be evaluated through performance testing and athlete feedback. A novel, evidence-based coaching methodology specifically designed for sprinters. Improved sprint performance through personalized training plans.
