- Abstract
- This study investigates the impact of vocational training on youth employment in Chinhoyi Urban, Zimbabwe. A mixed-methods research approach was employed, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods. The study found that vocational training has a positive impact on youth employment, with 80% of respondents employed after completing their training. The study also identified the skills acquired by young people through vocational training, including technical, business, and life skills. The findings have important implications for policymakers, practitioners, and future researchers seeking to promote youth employment and reduce unemployment rates among young people. The study recommends that polic0ymakers and practitioners prioritize vocational training programs that focus on technical, business, and life skills, and provide mentor-ship and support to young entrepreneurs.
