- Abstract
- This study was an assessment of the lessons learnt by physics teachers who were teaching physics during Covi-19 induced lockdowns at a school in Makonde district. In order to seek answers to the research questions, this study used qualitative research designs. Qualitative data were collected using interviews and questionnaires. A total of 5 teachers were selected from one school in Makonde district. Purposive sampling was used to select physics teachers. During lockdown physics teachers improvise on the method of teaching were they posting recorded lecture, live demonstration, providing additional interactive opportunities, offering extra help session. It was recommended that schools need to be equipped with resources so that teachers will be able to conduct online lessons like videoconferencing. This can be achieved by constructing hub which is cater for online lessons only and providing them with adequate resources.
