- Abstract
- This study examined the impact of advanced warehouse management systems on (AWMS) on Inventory management value creation at Halsted Builders Expressin Zimbabwe. The research was motivated by the need to address persistent inventory control challenges and inefficiencies in warehouse operations. A quantitative research design was adopted, targeting a population of 100 employees across different departments, with sample size of 50 respondents selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analysed using descriptive statistics and graphical presentations. The findings revealed that the implementation of AWMS significantly improved inventory accuracy, reduced lead times, and enhanced overall warehouse efficiency. Most respondents agreed that AWMS contributes to better stock visibility, timely replenishment, and reduced stock-outs, thereby creating value for inventory management. The study concludes that the use of AWMS is essential for optimizing warehouse operations and achieving greater value in inventory management. It is recommended that Halsted Builders Express invest in continuous training on AWMS and integrate the system fully across all branches to sustain operational excellence and competitiveness in the construction supply sector.
