- This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of extension workshops, farmer trainings, and peer-to-peer learning networks in promoting deworming practices among cattle farmers in Chipinge District, Zimbabwe. A cross-sectional research design was used, employing both iv quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews with agricultural extension officers, local authorities, and experienced farmers. The study focused on evaluating knowledge acquisition, skill development, and adoption of best practices in deworming through these knowledge-sharing mechanisms. A total of 150 cattle farmers participated in the study, selected through simple random sampling to ensure representation of individuals engaged in deworming training programs. The in-depth interview was administered to 15 stakeholdres. Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics, including mean scores and standard deviations, while thermatic analysis was used for qualitative data to identify key patterns and insights. Reliability analysis using Cronbach’s Alpha confirmed the internal consistency of the research instrument, with values ranging from 0.731 to 0.824. The results showed that extension workshops significantly improved farmers' knowledge (mean = 4.51), farmer trainings enhanced practical skills (mean = 4.28), and peer-to-peer learning networks facilitated knowledge exchange but had varying effects on adoption rates (mean range = 3.80 to 4.30). The study concluded that structured training programs played a crucial role in enhancing deworming knowledge, skills, and adoption rates among cattle farmers. It was recommended that policymakers strengthen agricultural extension services by increasing support for training workshops and peer learning networks. Extension officers should incorporate more hands-on training sessions to improve farmers’ confidence in deworming practices. There is need for future research to assess the long-term impact of knowledge-sharing mechanisms on deworming consistency and livestock health outcomes.
