- Abstract
- This study investigates the impact of outdoor learning on secondary school students’ understanding of ecological concepts in Chivi District. It assesses initial comprehension, evaluates retention and engagement compared to traditional instruction, and identifies barriers to implementation. Using qualitative methods with 15 participants, findings show that outdoor learning significantly enhances ecological education but faces challenges like teacher confidence and resource limitations. Recommendations include professional development for educators and institutional support for outdoor learning integration.
