- This study investigated the impact of socio-economic factors hindering effective teaching of Biology on academic performance at Form Three in Insiza District schools in Matabeleland South Province. A case study reviewed the available literature, which clearly links instigation problems to existing views on written facts. It interrelated various scholars existing in the world and gave a careful analysis of the problem understudy. The study was conducted with questions where an analytical diagnostic and this created a different picture on the side of the researcher as sound views about the topic were gained. The questions of the study were given an analytical diagnostic In addition, there was detailed and explicitly road map on how physical interactions were to be carried out. It further highlighted how the prominent individuals, such as the heads of departments, heads of schools, school development committees, and local learners, had been involved in the practical. The literature of the study reveals that several issues influence and impact the academic performance of learners and a resolution that not only socioeconomic factors affect performance but there are internal factors that affect and have a major influence on learner performance, therefore the study concluded that in the context of Insiza District secondary school, socioeconomic factors are existing external factors that affect the learner academic performance.
