The study investigates coffee farming practices and sustainability in Honde Valley, focusing on the knowledge, training, and agricultural techniques of smallholder farmers. Coffee plays an important role in the socio-economic landscape of the region; however, farmers face significant challenges, including low productivity, limited access to training, and inadequate extension services. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data to assess farmers' knowledge levels, identify commonly used agricultural practices, and evaluate the barriers to adopting sustainable methodologies. Findings reveal that while farmers possess substantial experiential knowledge, formal training on sustainable practices remains minimal, leading to reliance on traditional methods. Key challenges include the impacts of climate change, financial constraints, and inadequate access to credit. The study underscores the necessity for targeted training and support systems to enhance farmers' capacities and promote sustainable coffee production. Recommendations for farmers and policymakers highlight the importance of cooperative learning, climate-resilient practices, and improved access to financial resources, aiming to foster long-term sustainability and economic viability in the coffee sector of Honde Valley.
