Abstract
-
This research investigates the impact of technology introduction on Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management within the construction industry, focusing on emerging trends and innovations in Harare. These technological advancements aim to improve Safety,
Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management by reducing hazards, enhancing compliance, and ensuring better project outcomes. However, the successful adoption of these innovations depends heavily on effective implementation and adequate training of personnel. In the context of Harare's rapidly developing construction industry, exploring how these emerging technologies influence SHEQ management can provide valuable insights into best practices and potential challenges, ultimately contributing to safer, healthier, and more sustainable construction environments. Employing a purposive sampling approach, 40 participants from five construction companies were selected to provide insights into technological integration and its effects using surveys. The study examines how technological innovations influence SHEQ outcomes. Findings reveal that when effectively adopted and staff are properly trained, technology significantly enhances safety protocols, health standards, environmental sustainability, and quality management. The study underscores the potential for technological innovations to transform SHEQ practices, emphasizing the importance of strategic implementation and capacity building for optimal
benefits.
