- This research examines the socio-cultural and economic roots of gender-based violence (GBV) among women aged 18-49 in ward 23 Shamva district. The study aims to evaluate the prevalence and trends of GBV in this group , emphasizing the intricate relationship between societal norms and economic factors .By analyzing how women’s economic and social empowerment affects both the incidence and reduction of GBV , the research seeks to identify key elements that increased women’s susceptibility to violence .Additionally, the study intends to formulate tailored strategies for incorporating GBV prevention into community programs , promoting a comprehensive approach to tackle this widespread issue. The findings are anticipated to offer valuable insights for policymakers and community leaders, to enhance women’s safety and empowerment in the area.
