- Abstract
- This study analyses the impacts of internet banking on its adopters in Zimbabwe through a quantitative approach. Findings from the data provided by the 36 participants employed indicate that internet banking enhances financial awareness, confidence in financial management, and access to banking services, with high perceived convenience and time-saving benefits. However, significant barriers persist. These include technical challenges, security concerns, and low self-efficacy in troubleshooting minor issues. The research validates the Technology Acceptance Model and the Self-efficacy Theory in Zimbabwe’s context as it confirms that perceived ease of use and usefulness drive adoption. Overall, the study contributes actionable insights for banks and policymakers to foster inclusive digital finance adoption in Zimbabwe’s evolving socio-economic landscape.
