This review synthesizes the current landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in mathematics education at secondary level in Africa. The research identifies key AI tools, leadind countries and major topics in math education where AI is being leveraged to enhance teaching an learning. The review found out that AI-powered tools such as Geogebra, photomath ,ITS are being used to support math instruction in countries like South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Morroco and Egypt. Algebra, Geometry, Calculas, trigonometry, statistics and probability are among the major topics where AI is being applied. However we noted significant gaps in the literature including
limited contextualization, ethical concerns and unequal access to AI powered resources. Our
findings inform future research directions and emphasize the need for inclusive and contextually
responsive AI powered innovations in math education in Africa - Date
