Critical thinking is an important skill for learners to develop, as it enables them to analyze information, solve problems, and make well-reasoned decisions. In the context of mathematics education, the integration of critical thinking can enhance learners'
understanding of mathematical concepts and their ability to apply mathematical knowledge to real-world situations. This study explores the importance of integrating critical thinking into the teaching and learning of Mathematics. It examines the key components of critical thinking, such as analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving, and how they can be explicitly integrated into mathematics curriculum and instruction. The study discusses various teaching methods and learning activities that foster critical thinking, such as open-ended problem-solving, inquiry-based learning, and the use of multiple representations. Furthermore, the study presents empirical evidence on the impact of critical thinking
integration on learner outcomes in Mathematics. It highlights improved conceptual understanding, increased problem-solving skills, and enhanced mathematical reasoning abilities among learners exposed to critical thinking-focused mathematics instruction. The findings of this study have important implications for mathematics learners, curriculum designers, and policymakers. By prioritizing the development of critical thinking skills alongside the mastery of mathematical content, learners can become more engaged, adaptable, and capable problem-solvers, better prepared to navigate the challenges of the 21st century - Date
