- This study investigates the effects of supplier relationship management practices on service delivery in public hospitals in Zimbabwe, focusing on Shamva District Hospital as the case study. The study sought to analyze the role of supplier relationship management practices in improving service delivery and to examine the state of service delivery in public hospitals in Zimbabwe. Using a qualitative approach as well as interviews and questionnaires as the main data collection instruments, the study found that supplier relationship management practices positively affect service delivery at Shamva District Hospital. The results further indicate that supplier relationship management practices play a vital role in improving service delivery as they ensure high-quality products and services. The study further found that supplier relationship management can be improved through communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement. The study recommends Shamva District Hospital to strengthen supplier relationship management practices through the development of a formal strategy for managing relationships with its key suppliers to increase service delivery.
