- Exploring teaching methods used by secondary school teachers when teaching quadratic equations at ordinary level.
- Abstract
- The teaching strategies used by secondary school instructors to teach quadratic equations at the ordinary level are examined in this study. Qualitative data gathering and analysis techniques were combined in a mixed-methods approach. A sample of secondary school teachers was given a survey questionnaire, and respondents were interviewed further. The results show that teachers employ a variety of teaching strategies, such as completing the square, factorization, quadratic formula and lecture method. The study also highlights variables including student ability, time limits, and resource availability that affect teachers' technique choices. The findings' implications for teaching and learning quadratic equations at the ordinary level are examined, and suggestions are offered for curriculum design and teacher professional development.
