With an emphasis on CBZ Bank, this study examines how technological innovation affects the financial performance of Zimbabwe’s commercial banks. Data was gathered from a sample of 80 employees in different departments using structured questionnaires and interviews as part of a quantitative research methodology. The study is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which examines how perceived utility and ease of use have a major impact on the adoption of new technologies, and Schumpeter’s theory of innovation, which highlights the crucial role that technological advancements play in promoting economic development and boosting competitive advantage. The study’s conclusions show a strong positive correlation between key financial performance metrics and technological advancements like the use of mobile banking apps digital banking platforms and automated customer support tools. Interestingly, reports of increased profitability and customer satisfaction showed that technology not only improves the overall customer experience but also streamlines operations. These innovations, according to the employees have improved efficiency and decreased operating costs which has improved the banks financial viability. These results suggest that CBZ Bank should keep funding advanced technology and extensive staff training initiatives in order to fully utilize these advancements. Furthermore, keeping a competitive edge in the quickly changing financial landscape will require cultivating a culture of flexibility and ongoing improvement. In a more digital economy CBZ Bank can better position itself for long-term growth and increased market share by putting an emphasis on innovation and employee engagement.
