The scope of the system is to design and implement an automated railway gate control system as a measure of improving safety at railways crossings points. The system incorporates a microcontroller which is the brain of the system and infrared sensors for detection of the train. Servo motors are used to control boom gates and traffic lights are installed for signaling. Through the automation of this system, the occurrence of accidents at railway level crossing points will be minimized.
